Career Development Centre

Career Development Centre

The Academy has an active Career Development Centre managed by a Placement Committee with a Faculty Coordinator and staffed by two Placement Officers. There is also a provision for student members to be nominated to the Committee.

The Placement Committee cell strives to bring recruiters and student aspirants together through campus interviews. It also helps students in finding organisations to complete their summer internships/projects. Leveraging its strong links with corporate entities, the cell also lends a hand in securing short-term assignments for students in organisations.

The services of the placement cell are available to all eligible students.

A majority of the eligible students graduating in 2017 have already been placed in reputed companies. The maximum salary on a “cost-to-company” (CTC) basis stands at Rs 6.5 lacs per annum with CTC of Rs 8 lacs per annum after completion of the training period; the number of students with multiple offers at seven; and the average salary at Rs 4 lacs.

For the academic year 2017-18, the institute has enlisted the services of M/s Thejomaya, an HR Consultancy firm promoted by a group of Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta) alumni. The consultants would not only act as a bridge between the institute and recruiters but also lend a hand in identifying employability gaps in students and preparing them to face interviews.
